Pounding Surf on the Cliffs and Shores of Wales - July 27th 2018

Pounding Surf on the Cliffs and Shores of Wales,

Raelene Shea shares with you her portfolio of evocative paintings based on her world travels.

Raelene recently explored sections of the Wales Coast Path near New Quay, and there encountered extraordinary sandy beaches, towering cliffs, and pounding waves.

The Wales Coast Path is diverse in its landscapes, history and wildlife. One could take in cliffs, sea caves, castles, wildflowers and glimpse seabirds, dolphins and seals from this unbroken trail that spans the entire coastline of Wales.

Raelene was indeed inspired, and is working to capture the power and beauty of this coastline in this 72" x 38" image that could only be done justice in a large work like this.

This oil painting on cotton triple primed will take several weeks to complete, and it will be exciting to see how the images of cliffs and beaches blend together. Keep an eye on Raelene's Fine Art to view the finished piece and others.
